Transportation Schedule

Participants travel to Bondowoso and then continue on to the Ijen Volcano area for the race. A transportation schedule is provided to registered runners so arrival and departure times around the trailheads can be coordinated with the race programme.

• Travel to Bondowoso as the gateway town for the Ijen Volcano area.
• Onward transport toward the Kawah Ijen, Gunung Merapi, and Gunung Raung trail areas.

Trailhead Navigation

The course runs through the volcanic landscape around the Ijen crater, where the Blue Fire phenomenon appears at night as a result of sulfur mining activities at the bottom of the crater. Participants should allow time to reach the designated start points and familiarise themselves with the marked routes.

Accommodation & Homestays

Local homestays around Bondowoso and the surrounding districts are the most common base for runners. Reservations are handled with each homestay directly, and rooms are limited, so plan ahead and confirm your booking and check-in details with the organizers.
